West Nile in Las Vegas

A Las Vegas news channel ran a short segment on the beginning of the bug season. They suggested that the West Nile Virus could be minimized in Las Vegas if real estate owners and residents treated their swimming pools and any other standing water. They claimed that it only takes a cup of water for a mosquito to breed. Several cases of west nile were reported last year which prompted the announcement. They recommended removing standing areas of water or contacting a professional to learn how to treat the water so mosquitos don't get a chance to breed.
